The Parkinson Association of the Carolinas (PAC) serves as a resource for individuals and their families affected by Parkinson’s disease across the Carolinas, through education, community outreach, and direct support. We offer the following programs and community services so you don’t have to face Parkinson’s alone:
Education & Outreach
PAC offers programs to empower individuals and families to better understand Parkinson’s disease, learn strategies to manage daily life, raise community awareness, and advocate for community needs. Programs include:
- Signature Symposium
- Webinars
- EmpowerED: Community Connection
- Care Partner Summit
- PD101 community presentations
Movement Therapy & Exercise
Research shows that regular, vigorous exercise can slow the progression of Parkinson’s disease. PAC sponsors exercise programs for Parkinson’s disease and shares information about exercise classes around the carolinas to help people with Parkinson’s stay active, improve mobility, and enhance their quality of life.
Support
PAC Support Programs provide a network where people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones can connect, share experiences, and find encouragement. People can find support groups in their local area, or participate in PAC’s Virtual Support Group and YOPD Support Group, which is offered in person and virtually.
Resources
We aim to connect people with Parkinson’s and their families with information, tools, and other resources to help them live fully with Parkinson’s.
