Amanda Barclay, M.S., CCC-SLP will share why speech Therapy is an important part of comprehensive care for Parkinson’s and why getting started early can be beneficial. Speech Therapy can help with voice clarity, volume, safe swallowing, and with strengthening the muscles used for breathing.
Amanda Barclay, M.S., CCC-SLP, is a speech-language pathologist with over 20 years of experience serving individuals with Parkinson’s disease and other neurological conditions. She is the Founder and Owner of Align Speech Therapy & Consulting, a private practice providing specialized speech, voice, swallowing, and cognitive-communication services. Amanda has held leadership positions in hospital, outpatient, and nonprofit settings and previously served as adjunct faculty at Chapman University. She is passionate about helping people with Parkinson’s maximize communication, cognitive function, swallowing safety, and overall quality of life through evidence-based care, education, and wellness-focused programming.
